Supporting Sighthounds

Many sighthounds — especially ex-racers — find adjusting from kennel life to the real world overwhelming. Everyday things like passing traffic, slippery floors, or meeting new people can feel overwhelming for a dog who’s never experienced them before. And as their human, it’s completely normal to need a bit of support too.

At Hounds Retreat, we provide a calm, enrichment based care where  sighthounds can adjust at their own pace and in their own way. We understand the subtle quirks of greyhounds— from zoomies and roaching to helping with corns, enrichment, and of course, the art of the perfect snooze.

But more than anything, we’re here to help them build confidence and have fun— the sighthound way.
