Day Care
To Support Your Dog’s Wellbeing
At Hounds Retreat, we understand that not every dog enjoys group play.
Here, each guest has their own quiet cabin, solo outdoor adventures, and personalised enrichment in a calm countryside setting near Kirkcaldy.
Enrichment session Now available! - 2 hour sessions
Overnight Retreat - Coming Soon!
For dogs who need to stay a little longer, our Overnight Retreat provides the same tailored care and enrichment as our daytime Retreat — with added comfort, cosy private rooms, and evening routines to help every guest settle in.
Before their first overnight stay, we ask every dog to join us for a Meet & Greet session.
This gentle introduction helps them get to know us, explore the space, and make sure Hounds Retreat is the right environment for your dog. We may suggest trial visits — a day or an overnight stay — to help your dog feel settled and confident before their full retreat.
Please note we are small business and may have a waiting list
Our daycare give dogs the stimulation and relaxation they need — helping them de-stress, keep their minds active, have fun, and most importantly, simply be a dog.
With our enrichment sessions at Hounds Retreat, your dog goes home feeling more relaxed, having used their mind to problem-solve, build confidence, get gentle exercise, and — most importantly — develop resilience for the busy world that many dogs find challenging.
Nestled in the Fife countryside near Kirkcaldy, Hounds Retreat offers a calm and enriching daycare experience for dogs who need something a little different. The retreat features 10 private rooms and two spacious paddocks.
